Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

At IHC, we understand the frustration many patients experience when doctors don't take the time to educate them about their specific condition. Whenever possible, we want you to know as much about your condition(s) to achieve optimal resolution.

What are your hours?

We practice Monday through Thursday by appointment only, generally, scheduling appointments from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. We make exceptions in special cases.

Where are you located?

6644 Bird Cliff Way, Niwot Colorado 80503. For directions seeOur Clinic

What kind of doctors are you?

Both Dr. Debby and Dr. Darryl are licensed in the state of Colorado as Doctors of Chiropractic.  They both hold licenses in chiropractic acupuncture as well.  Their specialties within Chiropractic are Applied Kinesiology and functional medicine which encompasses clinical nutrition with laboratory work, evaluating the structural, chemical and mental/emotional aspects of imbalances inhibiting one’s full expression of health.  Many people call us first with any health issues looking for natural, noninvasive methods.

What age groups do you work with?

We work with newborns to the elderly.

Do you accept insurance?

Due to the alternative methods we employ and the fact we are truly a small business (2 doctors, no staff) we do not bill insurance.  We do offer a receipt with all the necessary diagnosis and procedure codes for you to submit for potential reimbursement.  There are many different insurance plans and some will reimburse for chiropractic and acupuncture.  We suggest you check with your individual insurance carrier if you are hoping for reimbursement.

Do you do regular laboratory testing?

We use a wide variety of laboratory testing, depending on what we feel is most helpful to gain insight and information with each individual case. We belong to a co-op which gives us much discounted prices on blood tests. Other lab tests are unique to certain labs and we can give you prices prior to testing. We welcome and collect recent lab tests you have had performed to use instead of retesting. The parameters/references we use are considered nutritional optimal, so our interpretation could be different than your traditional western medical doctor's.

What style of chiropractic adjustments do you use?

We use manual manipulation, activator instrument, respiratory adjustments, RELEASE technique, cranial/sacral release and reflexes along with soft tissue release.

How do you address the mental emotional aspects?

We use Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET), EVOX, flower essences and nutritional/herbal support for neurotransmitter and metabolic insufficiencies that can affect one’s mental/emotional well-being.  Dr. Hobson is also a certified personal coach and teaches Dynamic Stillness (a heart centered healing practice).

How often do you see a patient? Do you have treatment plan packages?

Each person is seen as an individual and follow up treatment is dependent upon the case.  Each patient/client has input in the treatment plan and goals.  We work along with other practitioners you may be seeing as well with outcome goals as seamless and stress free as possible.  We invite as much patient and family participation to support a health possible outcome.

Do you offer massage therapy?

At this point we do not have any massage therapists on staff, but we have multiple possibilities of referrals and aim to match client/therapist up with therapeutic needs, location and gender preferences.
